The ABK Physics Scholarship for
Zamfara State Indigenes aims to provide opportunities to Zamfara state students
pursuing physics program at any federal or state university in Nigeria. Dr. Aliyu Bala (PhD in Physics,
University of York, UK) instituted a scholarship to support 2 Zamfara indigenes
(1 male and 1 female) studying Physics in any Nigerian University. Two successful candidates (a male and a female) will
receive #200,000 per semester as upkeep allowance and full tuition fees for a
period of 3 years subject to academic performance. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply and submit all required documents.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
This scholarship is
highly competitive, please do not apply if your cumulative grade point average
(CGPA) is below second class upper division. The selection process includes the
following requirements:

- The male and female candidates must
have the highest CGPAs among applicants of their respective genders. - Candidates must have a CGPA from 3.5
and above and must have completed their first year of study by the application
deadline. - Candidates must be indigenes of
Zamfara State. - Candidates must be enrolled in physics
program in any federal or state university within Nigeria. - Performance
of the candidate will be monitored for the duration of their studies.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Applicants must submit the following
documents after completing the form:
- A letter of confirmation of study.
- Current academic transcript.
- Indigene certificate.
- A passport photograph.
